Gwent Contract Carpenters was established in 1985 primarily for trade contracts. We undertook contracts for the complete installation of timber and associated products for both large national and local companies. In 1990 we engaged ourselves with one of the largest and most respected DIY Stores in the UK (B&Q), to install all their customers kitchens and bathrooms ordered from the Newport and Cwmbran stores. At the same time we also contracted to local kitchen and bathroom companies such as 'Leekes of Llantrisant', providing them with high-class installers. At this point we were getting inquiries from the public about whether we would install directly for them. So in 1992 we set up accounts with national wholesalers for kitchens and bathrooms and Gwent Contract Carpenters was born as an independent retailer and installer of quality products.

From there we have grown to where we are today, with an intact reputation confirmed by the many letters of satisfaction we have received over the years. We are still active with local companies in South Wales, providing them with quality installers, which in itself is a recommendation; in that our competitors want to use us to do their installations. Furthermore, with the advantage of dealing direct with some of Britain's best manufacturers, our overheads are minimized, meaning savings are passed onto the customer, meaning in most cases that projects can be enhanced whilst keeping to pre-planned budgets.
